The closest cherry blossom spot to the hostel. Just a few minutes walk and you are there.
There is no information on when the temple was built but it is
believed to be the oldest buddhist temple in Koganei with some trees that are over 400 years old.
A tall, spreading Shidare-zakura (weeping cherry tree) gracefully welcomes all the visitors with its drooping, gently swinging in the wind, white beautiful branches right in front of the temple.
People who collects goshuin* can as well get a stamp at Konzoin.
*Goshuin are large stamps, handwritten by monks, that work as a kind of proof that you have visited a specific temple or shrine.

正確な建立年は不明ですが、境内に樹齢400年以上の木々がある、小金井に現存する最古の寺院だと言われています。
金蔵院の入口には非常に大きなしだれ桜が咲いており、風でかすかに揺れる垂れ下がった桜の枝が、美しい花々とともに私たちを優雅に出迎えてくれます。
また、当寺院では御朱印を頂くこともできます。
